We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bar Duty Manager to join our dynamic team and help lead our operations to new heights.
Position Summary: As the Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of the bar. You will be responsible for overseeing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining quality standards, and driving sales. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, a passion for hospitality, and a deep understanding of bar operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of bartenders and floor staff.
- Ensure all staff adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock control, and minimizing waste.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the bar area.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Drive sales and profitability through effective promotions and upselling techniques.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new drink menus and promotions.
- Report directly to the General Manager and provide regular updates on bar performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Duty Manager in a high-volume establishment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of bar operations, including inventory management and customer service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for craft beer
- Certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or equivalent.
- WA Approved Manager Card
