Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver briefs to staff and prepare technical reports, including amendments to production requirements, equipment, staffing, and client sign-off.
  • Act as a secondary technical contact during productions, coordinating teams and facilitating smooth operations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs, contributing to the professional growth of technical staff.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess tertiary-level certification in technical theatre or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in technical theatre for live performances and events and strong attention to detail.

This role demands more than just technical expertise; this fast-paced environment requires someone who can inspire, mentor, and lead by example, driving innovation and excellence in every aspect of our productions and across technical domains. If you're ready to illuminate the future of Riverside Theatres with your unparalleled leadership and lighting skills, we want to hear from you!

Essential requirements include current Construction White Card and First Aid / CPR Certification, with Rigging/Doggers certification and test & tag considered advantageous.

Additional Experience and Skills:

  • Proficiency in programming consoles and design software
  • Comprehensive understanding of theatre equipment, control systems, and safety protocols.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing production requirements.
  • Experience in the maintenance and management of theatre equipment and associated technical systems.

What's on Offer:

This is a term contract position until Dec 2024, with an attractive remuneration package ranging from $73,354 to $80,782 plus 11% superannuation.

Additionally, employee benefits, including:

  • 14 weeks paid parental leave
