Groves is currently seeking applications from qualified, registered teachers or a tutor to take up an EALD tutor/teaching position within the Learning Support department of the Primary School. This is either a full-time position across both Primary and Secondary or two roles part-time Primary or part-time Secondary.
Position Objectives
- Provide support and guidance in the development and implementation of appropriate programs that support speech and language development.
- Develop and deliver strategies and programs for individuals/small groups to support educational goals, curriculum access, learning engagement, social participation, and classroom management.
- Participate in staff, group or other meetings related to the school as an organisation, administration and curriculum.
- Plan for the long-and short-term needs of all young people using the band scaling system and collection of evidence.
- Undertake other duties as directed by the Head of Inclusive Education or nominated delegate.
Qualifications and Expertise
- Minimum tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in teaching, Inclusive Education qualification desirable.
- TESOL qualification an advantage
- Experience in working with students who have a learning difficulty within speech and language development.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices, program development and documentation
