About us
Torquay Early Learning Centre is a not-for-profit community-based Centre and offers childcare in a long day-care setting with integrated 3 year old and 4 year old kindergarten programs. Our 126 place Centre is rated "exceeding" in all 7 quality assessment areas and is set apart by its exceptionally large natural play-spaces and not-for-profit ethos. We promote cultural safety for Aboriginal children, cultural safety for children from culturally diverse, linguistically diverse backgrounds, gender diverse backgrounds and provide a safe environment for children with a disability. Requirements:
- Hold or be working towards a Certificate III or a Diploma level Early Childhood qualification (ACECQA approved)
- Hold current First Aid qualifications, including Asthma, Anaphylaxis and CPR training
- Hold a current Working with Children Check
- Good understanding of VEYLDF and NQF
- Demonstrated experience will be an advantage
Responsibilities:
- Deliver innovative and high-quality educational programs for each individual child
- Contribute to the team of passionate educators within your room whilst incorporating best practice at all times
- Ensure learning and development is consistent with the EYLF/VEYLDF
- Support a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement
- Develop respectful relationships with families to support each child's learning.
- Act within the requirements of the Centre's Code of Conduct, Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy and Complaints Policy.
