Early Childhood Educator & Cert Iii Trainee

Balls Paddock is currently seeking a 

MaternityFull Time Position and a

Part Time, Early Childhood Educator or

Early Childhood Trainee to join their team.

Reporting to the Centre Director, you will draw on your experience in planning and evaluating high quality educational programs with a proven understanding of pedagogy and best practice in Early Childhood. 

You must be committed to continuous improvement and professional development both for yourself and the team and demonstrate an ability to create a culture of fun, curiosity, and reflective practice.

Balls Paddock Childcare Centre is a Community Based Non-For-Profit Long Day Care Centre located in the Illawarra, providing the highest quality care and education for 43 children a day.

What you will do

We are looking for a suitable candidate that will complement our long-standing team to deliver a high-quality inclusive program catering to each child’s needs and interests. The successful candidate will be required to have a sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and child development and learning. You will also play a key role in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with children, families, and the community.

Selection Criteria:

• ACECQA approved Degree trained teacher, Diploma trained Educator in Early Childhood Education or Cert 3 trained Educator in Early Childhood Education.
• Or actively willing to commence a Certificate III or Diploma traineeship.  
• Outstanding skills in communication with families and the community
• Working knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework
• Experience in continuous improvement and a commitment to professional development.
• Commitment to an inclusive curriculum and child protection
• A good level of physical fitness
• Knowledge of the National Quality Standards
• Maintain a valid paid Working with Children Check through the Office of the Children's Guardian
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification
• Identify and Respond to Children at Risk certificate (desirable)
• Ability to adhere to all Balls Paddock policies and procedure
