The Opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for in assisting the delivery of high-quality education and care that supports the safety, participation, wellbeing, and empowerment of all children who attend our programs.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Working in collaboration with the team to plan and implement play-based programs.
- Documenting children’s learning, development, interest and abilities, including setting individual and group goals.
- Initiating and promoting warm and intentional interactions with children as a key learning strategy.
- Working according to the Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework and curriculum frameworks.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of curriculums within the learning program.
Skills & Experience
- Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent, as recognised by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and in accordance with the Education and Care National Law Act 2010 & the Education and Care National Services Regulations 2011.
- Relevant experience in working in children’s services in line with Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework and curriculum frameworks.
- Demonstrated understanding of Victoria’s Child Safe Standards.
- Ability to self-manage work requirements alongside the room team and supervisor, taking a leadership role as required.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other Early Childhood Educators, to provide appropriate, culturally sensitive and inclusive educational programs.
- Hold a current and valid, or willingness to obtain: Working with Children’s Check, First Aid Level 2, CPR Certificate, Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Asthma Management certificates.
