We are looking for a Casual Early Childhood Educator to join our Jacaranda Preschool team based in South Grafton.
Jacaranda Preschool has been part of the local community for over fifty years. It prides itself on high quality education and care for the children and families of the Clarence Valley.

- As a Casual Early Childhood Educator with Jacaranda Preschool you will focus on:
- Respond to children’s strengths, interests and needs and contribute to planning cycle and review within the room under the guidance of the room leader.
- Contribute to documenting of children’s learning and development under the guidance of the Room Leader.
- Engage in critical reflection of children’s learning to guide future programming.
- Engage children in learning opportunities that are responsive to;
- Role modelling positive interactions.
- Respecting children’s similarities, differences, culture and diversity.
- Maintaining each child’s dignity and the rights of each child,
- Responding to the emotional, social and wellbeing needs of each child.
- Providing physical care, assisting children in toileting, dressing and meal times.
- Viewing all these opportunities as teachable moments.
Most importantly, having a great attitude and a strong belief in children’s abilities is essential.
To be successful, you will need:
- Cert III Early Childhood certificate or Diploma
- First Aid Certification with Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management
- Working with Children’s Check,
- National Police clearance issued within the last six months.
You will also be required to complete the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module or provide evidence of completion. The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.
