Job description

Early Childhood Therapist - Speech Therapist

Kite Therapy

Job description

We're not your regular therapy clinic! We're on a mission to make evidence-based Early Childhood care more accessible for Australian families, by combining world-class therapists and modern technology.

We're searching for passionate Speech Therapists interested in joining a growing team and helping to accelerate our mission.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT

  • Part clinician, part innovator: Get the best of both worlds! Spend part of your time working hands-on with families, and part of your time working with our product and design team to shape and improve our digital app
  • Help build the future of therapy: Work with us to create a more accessible, affordable therapy model for families who struggle to access support, supported by technology
  • Learn from the best and accelerate your career: Our lead therapists are highly experienced practitioners who are passionate about training and supporting you to accelerate your career
  • Flexibility: We have a hybrid work model, with the ability to work from our office at Melbourne University as well as remotely. We are open to a part-time or full-time model for the right candidate.
  • Become a part owner of Kite: We believe in making our therapists part-owners of Kite and rewarding them for their part in achieving our mission
  • Career pathways: Whether you’re a high-performing recent graduate or a therapist with a decade of experience, we have paths from therapist to team leadership, with support at every level

THE CORE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

  • Provide coaching for parents of children with developmental delays and disabilities, including autism, helping them embed learning strategies into their daily routines. Our model involves weekly or fortnightly coaching with families over telehealth.
  • Collaboratively develop tailored goals and therapy plans for families
  • Provide regular feedback to our product team to help shape the design of our client app and digital tools

EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • At least 2+ years experience working with children with autism or developmental delays
  • Bachelors Degree in Speech Therapy
  • Registration with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Excited to work in an innovative, highly collaborative team environment
  • Tech savvy and confident in using digital tools for clinical practice

COMPENSATION:

  • Base salary of $95,000 - $105,000 (based on experience)
  • Annual performance bonus
  • Equity ownership in the business
