The Eating Disorder Coordinator will work to facilitate a new project supported by the National Eating Disorders Collaboration, in conjunction with the Department of Health & Aged Care. This project will address practical barriers and strengthen enablers for people experiencing Eating Disorders to access effective evidence-based treatment through primary care providers What’s in it for you?
- Salary of $90,000 - $99,999 pro rata
- Part time role - 4 days per week

- Establish relationships and promote collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support change management and implementation of an integrated Eating Disorders coordinator model of care
- Promote evidence-based approaches to Eating Disorder treatment relevant to primary and allied health care providers in private practice.
- Engage with local health professionals to increase treatment delivery and assist the formation of multidisciplinary teams, service integration and continuity of care
- Actively participate in care coordinator-related training and meeting activities
- Approved tertiary qualification in Heath professional discipline such as Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Registered Nurse
- Understanding of the Australian primary health care system, including the Northern Territory context, and understanding of person-centred care approaches
- Understanding of both mental and medical health as related to Eating Disorders.
- Knowledge of current best practice approach to Eating Disorder Treatments and approaches (desirable)
- Demonstrated ability for quality of written and verbal communication
- Effective listening skills and an engaging communication style
- NT Driver's licence and Ochre Card
