This facility is a 171-bed hospital that functions as the regional resource centre with all major specialties present on site including ICU and CCU/Cath lab.
- Only ED in area and being the regional centre for the Southwest, patients present with the entire spectrum of acute medical, surgical, paediatric, obstetric, gynaecological, and mental health related illnesses.
- The ED is the largest department in the hospital and the biggest Emergency Department in WA outside of Perth.
- The Department consists of 39 beds including ED ambulatory care and Short Stay Unit.
- Approximately 45,000 presentations per year (approximately 40% require admission).
- Case mix, including acuity and activity is highly varied, 25% being children.
- General, Provisional or Limited registration with AHPRA registration/ able to obtain AHPRA registration.
- SIMG's that have been assessed by ACEM and deemed partially or substantially comparable.
- IMG's that are eligible via Competent Authority Pathway (work experience in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada or Ireland)
