The Education Design & Delivery Officer plays a leading role in the development and Delivery of professional postgraduate education programs in the faculty. The position provides support and advice to both teaching staff and students throughout the unit of study lifecycle, assisting staff to set up and maintain units of study, monitoring student progress and ensuring that students receive appropriate support. The role includes a blend of educational administration, educational Design and student support tasks.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- leverage your technical and educational expertise in the creation and development of online educational resources that apply principles of effective online learning design
- provide support and advice to academic and teaching staff on the effective use of educational technologies specific to Postgraduate Coursework in Medicine program
- offer support for students and potential students of program(s), , including the efficient management of the triaging process for student correspondence.
- provide operational and education support to the work area's academic and teaching staff
- foster collaboration by liaising with key staff and relevant stakeholders to ensure that the education support, learning, curriculum and teaching priorities are met
About you
- possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and high-level proficiency with Learning Management Systems (Canvas), and a range education technologies (ECHO360, H5P, etc.) to create engaging graphics, video content and digital learning content
- exhibit strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- showcase strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and to meet deadlines
- bring experience delivering education programmes, preferably in a tertiary education environment
- apply knowledge of university policies and procedures and administrative processes within a tertiary environment
- hold tertiary qualifications - in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
