The College is seeking an Education Support Officer who will support teachers in cultivating a positive learning environment and aid student learning with discretion and judgment, evaluating and assessing their needs under supervision.
Responsibilities include carrying out various classroom tasks, proposing modifications to educational programs to suit specific student requirements, and supervising students with special needs.
They will actively participate in program monitoring and evaluation, provide yard duty support, and maintain detailed records of student assistance on SEQTA.
Additionally, the candidate will offer specialist advice on material and equipment use, deliver specialised instruction in various learning areas, and facilitate individual or small group intervention programs.
Participation in professional development, staff meetings, and other review sessions is essential, along with the readiness to fulfill any reasonable duties required by the Principal or Learning Support/Flexible Learning Coordinators.
The Education Support Officer will work 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
