We seek a passionate and dedicated Education Support Officer specialising in Mathematics to join our Student Support Department. This position will collaborate with teaching staff across the Maddingley and Woodlea Campuses. The position will be ongoing. Applicants interested in full-time or part-time employment are encouraged to apply. Hours of work are 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Salary will be negotiated with the preferred applicant based on the applicant's experience level and current qualifications.
The primary objective of the Education Support Officer specialising in Mathematics is to assist the mathematics team in providing the best possible education for each child, in line with the School’s values and educational objectives. This position will require the successful applicant to run small group interventions focusing on Mathematics, support students in the classroom, and perform other routine tasks usually carried out under close supervision and direction.
Mathematics teachers who no longer wish to work as registered teachers are encouraged to apply.

Key Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will have:
- Qualification in Education Support or a Bachelor of Education or postgraduate qualification in Education.
- Working with Children Check (employment card).
- National Criminal Police Check.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting students in a mathematics classroom and taking small groups of students through key concepts in Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry and Statistics and Probability.
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking routine support tasks across a range of functions in one or more areas within a similar position in a school environment.
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with school community members, including students.
- Ability to adapt to the needs in a classroom and prioritise tasks.
- Experience using a wide range of strategies to cater to diverse student needs and backgrounds, including children with a disability.
- Experience and ability to work with students across varied year levels as required.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar position desirable.
