About the role:
Join our team as a Teacher's Assistant to work at Special Development Schools in and around Hoppers Crossing. We will match your skills, preferences, and availability to the schools we work with to ensure you enjoy the shifts we offer you.
Key duties:
· Assist teachers in providing a safe and stimulating learning environment
· Ensure a continuation of learning for students in the absence of their usual Education Support.
· Develop a stimulating learning environment by using a variety of styles and approaches to cater for individual learning needs.
Skills & Experience:
· Completed a minimum of Certificate IV in Disability
· Ability to provide contact details for two relevant senior references from within the last 5 years
· Ability to work with students with a range of support needs.
· You MUST be willing to work within Special Development Schools.
· You MUST be willing to support students with meals and toileting needs.
· Ideally has experience working in the classroom or with groups of children/youths
Desired Skills & Experience:
· Adaptable to changing work environments.
· Experience working with Children with special needs.
