Job description

At St Dympna’s OSHC, we take pride in providing exceptional care for 165 children during before school, after school, and vacation care. We believe in fostering an environment where children can explore, create, and construct their own learning, guided by our dedicated team of educators.

About the Role: As an enthusiastic and dedicated educator, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere for our children.

Your responsibilities will include:
Morning Session:

  • Greeting children at our main building for before school care.
  • Conducting roll call and ensuring the safe escort of preps to their classrooms.
  • Supporting Grade 1-6 children as they independently make their way to their classrooms.
Afternoon Session:
  • Collecting preps from their classrooms and bringing them to OSHC.
  • Overseeing the safe arrival of Grade 1-6 children, who walk to OSHC at 3pm.
  • Signing in all children and providing a wholesome afternoon tea.
  • Engaging children in various activities outlined in our educational program.

  • The ability to organize and participate in a variety of activities, such as crafts, sports, and educational programs.
  • Excellent communication skills with both children and parents.
  • Openness to feedback and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
