Egineering Techician

Acu-Tech, nationwide leader in the manufacture and supply polyethylene pipe, products and services, is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our experienced and service orientated team. As a workshop technician your role involves providing technical support in ensuring the performance, safety and reliability of vehicles. Your technical expertise, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail contribute to the maintenance and improvement of various types of vehicles.

Tasks include the following

•  Testing and evaluating vehicles to assess their performance, efficiency and safety, including measuring parameters such as handling, fuel consumption, emissions and electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Using diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic and hydraulic issues.
• Analyzing data and performing tests to determine the root causes of problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Undertaking technical tasks such as servicing engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, hydraulic and other components.
• Inspecting vehicles to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications by conducting thorough inspections to identify defects or deviations from manufacturers’ designs.
• Ensuring that vehicles meet safety standards and regulatory requirements set by relevant authorities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and modifications.
• Collaborating with engineers, mechanics and other technicians to develop and implement vehicle modifications and improvements, and providing technical support to assist in resolving complex technical issues.
• Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in vehicle technology, materials, and technical processes to be able to innovate solutions and to enhance your skills and knowledge in vehicle engineering and maintenance.

 Incentives

•         Competitive salary $75,000 - $85,000
•         Fulltime 40 hour week

 Skills

•        Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Engineering Technician role or relevant trade certificate
•        Knowledge related to inspecting and repairing diesel, gas and electrical vehicles
•        Technically and solution minded
•        Can do attitude and ability to be a team player working with cross discipline engineers as well as non-technical stakeholders.
