We are looking for a motivated aviation professional to lead a team of civilian and military personnel in the development and communication of Continuing Airworthiness Regulations and guidance. The position fulfils a crucial role in reviewing and prescribing safety policy for Defence Aviation.Duties include:
- Custodian of Continuing Airworthiness regulations, guidance & policy
- Identify, develop and process changes to Continuing Airworthiness regulations, guidance & policy
- Timely response to, and coordination of, queries on Continuing Airworthiness regulations, guidance & policy
- Development and implementation of business policy and processes
- Compliance to and improvement of the DASA quality management system and other business processes
- Promoting Defence Aviation safety through education, training and dissemination of safety information
- As supervisor of two staff, manage people by providing clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance standards, delegating responsibility, managing performance honestly and respectfully, and guiding and developing people.
- This role is eligible for an Individual Flexibility Arrangement (IFA), which allows Defence to provide additional remuneration to the base salary, and/or the variation of other conditions provided for in the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA).
