EL1 IFA Salary - $125,352 - $129,256
Salaries in the department are provided through its Enterprise Agreement and supporting s.24(1) Determination. They may also be provided through Individual Flexibility Arrangements (IFA).
The department has an Individual Flexibility Arrangement (IFA) Framework applicable to employees at the APS6 and Executive Levels. Employees at these classifications may be eligible to receive salaries set out in the IFA Framework which are above those set out in the Enterprise Agreement and supporting s.24(1) Determination.
These IFAs can be negotiated prior to commencement and the IFA will be provided to staff on commencement with the department.

The opportunity we have available:
The Major Project Delivery Section is a dedicated, forward-thinking team that has a vacancy available for a Lead Business Analyst at the EL1 level.
The team is responsible for designing and developing the Department's business applications and websites to support the Department's strategic and operational objectives, and consolidating key corporate applications for the Department.
The team is energetic and autonomous with an agile mindset that work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. We aim to achieve innovative, fit-for-purpose IT solutions for our department.
You will play a crucial role in developing consistent processes and procedures to conduct requirements gathering and documentation for IT projects within the department. This includes development of frameworks, processes, policies, procedures, templates and best practices and oversee implementation of these across the department.
This role is varied and dynamic, but typical duties include:
  • Leading internal stakeholder interaction that includes program, project managers, IT specialists and subject matter experts from across the department, together with external stakeholders to embed consistent processes and implement the department's business analysis and requirements gathering framework.
  • Lead the development of business analysis and requirements development frameworks, processes, policies, procedures, templates and best practices and oversee implementation across the department.
  • Drive awareness of requirements across functional units and identify substandard system processes.
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders to explore different solutions, their risks, benefits and impacts.
  • Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimised system integration, and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernise system outputs.
  • Perform requirements analysis and effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.

Candidates will need to demonstrate their knowledge and experience of applications development methodologies and the software, development lifecycle and undertaking the duties outlined in the role description.
A merit list will be established to allow filling of similar roles within the IT Division if needed in the future.
