HOBAN Recruitment is excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity for an EL1 Level Assistant Director Research and Evaluation on behalf of our client in CANBERRA ACT.

About the Role:


As the EL1 Level Assistant Director Research and Evaluation, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of an internal service that conducts Research and evaluation. You'll have the autonomy to exercise initiative and judgement, interpreting legislation and policy to inform Agency decisions.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the implementation and effectiveness evaluation of the Inklings Pilot program in Western Australia.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to scope, deliver, and govern the evaluation.
  • Preparing ethics and site governance applications.
  • Collecting and analysing a range of data, including quantitative, qualitative, and survey data.
  • Ensuring compliance with guidelines, standard operating procedures, Client standards, and ethics requirements.
  • Designing and conducting research projects, collaborating with diverse individuals and cultural backgrounds.
  • Communicating and supporting the implementation of research findings.

About You:

  • To excel in this role, you should have:
  • Experience using sophisticated methods, including quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful evaluations.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end formative and impact evaluations influencing positive change.

Desirable Skills:

  • Academic or evaluation qualifications.
  • Experience in designing evaluations and producing evaluation logics reflecting stakeholders/Agency's needs.
