Aldinga YMCA Early Learning Centre is seeking dedicated and passionate Assistant Educators to join their team. Flexible working opportunities available; i.e. Full-time, Part-time or Casual.
As an Assistant Educator, you will:
- Prioritise engaging with children, families, and the wider community.
- Be passionate and enthusiastic about education of children between the ages of 0-5 years.
- Enjoy supporting the team to plan and implement an educational program and engaging experiences to meet the individual needs of our children.
- Have a strong working knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.
- Have opportunities to network with relevant stakeholders in YMCA and the local community.
- Work with a small, close-knit team with opportunities for professional development and career progression.
- Time to document children’s learning and development (off the floor).

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:
- Diploma (or higher) qualification in Early childhood education or equivalent - approved by ACECQA.
- Current approved first aid, anaphylaxis, and asthma qualifications.
- Experience in an early childhood setting.
- A sound understanding of the EYLF and NQF.
- Confidence to build strong relationships and partnerships with children and families.
- The ability to implement stimulating programs, and support the curriculum based on the children's interests and the EYLF.
- The ability to observe and record children’s learning and contribute to their educational portfolios.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
