The Client and you:
Engineering manufacturer that provides solutions for several industries, with a strong focus on industrial hydraulic special-purpose equipment, factory automation, and the FMCG space.
In a fast-paced environment, you will be required to work under pressure, assisting maintenance teams to meet strict deadlines daily.
You will have 2 to 5 years of experience, driving projects from an electrical standpoint, with good project engineering skills, and not afraid to get your hands dirty assisting with machinery installation, machinery upgrades, PLC programming, wiring, controls, hands-on measuring, and fault finding for both before and during equipment installation.
Key responsibilities:
- Working closely with engineers, PMs, and sales engineers.
- Hydraulic & pneumatic, factory and machine upgrades – electrical configuration, testing, and commissioning.
- Functional Design of control systems.
- Perform PLC fault find and repair, modification of code, and programming of PLC’s.
- Modification of HMI’s.
- Interface PLC Machinery with external networks and auxiliary equipment.
- Oversee instrumentation upgrades and installation.
- Adhere to and focus on OH&S Standards.
- Communicate with other team members effectively and clearly.
To be a successful fit for this position you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Software, Mechatronics Engineering.
- At least 2 years’ experience in PLC Programming.
- Intermediate to Advanced level.
