About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled technician who can work independently and as a productive member of our Electrical Fitter team. In this role, you will be undertaking a wide range of duties related to repairs, preventative maintenance and installation of industrial electrical equipment over the entire icon Water asset base. As an Electrical Fitter, you will:
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Assist in the identification of workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and perform work in accordance with implemented safe work practices.
- Carry out tasks in accordance with Icon Water’s Policies and procedures.
- Assist other work groups to maintain Icon Water assets.
- Assist in the preparation of preventative maintenance programs.
- Record asset maintenance history.
- Participate in an emergency On-Call roster as required to provide 24-hour, 7 day a week breakdown & maintenance service. On a one in six-week roster.
What are we looking for?
- Possess recognised trade qualifications as an Electrical fitter. (ACT Electricians License) or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability, skills and experience to perform maintenance on various industrial electrical equipment including motors, switchboards and control systems.
- Demonstrated experience in working with computerised maintenance scheduling/ reporting and controlling systems.
- Possess an ACT Class C Drivers Licence or equivalent.
- Ability to read electrical drawings.
As part of this role you be will be required to obtain and maintain the following:
- Electrical rescue
- OHS General induction card.
- First Aid/CPR
- Confined Space Entry.
- Work at heights.
- Dogman.
- Forklift.
- High Voltage Operator Certification
- Silica awareness
- Asbestos Awareness.
