Job Description
SGS seeks an Electrical Fluid Analyst to oversee operations at our electrical oil testing laboratory located in Perth Airport, WA. This is a full time permanent posiiotn.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

• Coordinating all activities within the electrical oils testing laboratory, including analysis, result interpretation, commenting, recommending, and issuing final reports to clients.
• Ensuring efficient sample throughput with time management and quality assurance.
• Engaging in routine operational meetings and training sessions.
• Maintaining client communication and adherence to their sampling schedules.
• With minimal supervision and a degree of independence, initiative and judgment, undertake in-depth analysis and interpretation of the results of analysis of electrical oils.
• Ensure that required KPI's are met through continual monitoring and weekly reporting of laboratory team performance
• Identification and reporting of operational and procedural improvement opportunities and implementation thereof with support of the Line Manager
• Monitor and maintain QA/QC, NATA and Health & Safety requirements
• Carry out scheduled instrument calibration and maintenance in accordance with written procedures and certification requirement.

Qualifications

• Relevant Tertiary / Technical qualifications.
• Significant Practical Experience within the high-voltage power industry, specifically with Power Transformer condition monitoring, testing and/or maintenance.
• Experience in the analysis of electrical insulating oils as well as an in-depth knowledge of the various types of oil-filled electrical equipment.
• Understanding of general laboratory operations, QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation and compliance requirements.
• Proficient computer software literacy
