  • It’s an exciting time to join our vibrant Iron Ore Operational Readiness team
  • 8 and 6 day shift roster available FIFO from Perth or residential to applicants currently residing in Paraburdoo
  • Fixed period position ending July 2025
The opportunity
We are looking for Electrical Maintainers to join the Paraburdoo Operational Readiness team.
Reporting to the Supervisor Commissioning, this role will focus on construction, commissioning, and handover activities to support delivery of the Western Range project.
About the role
  • Demonstrate a high level of trouble shooting on fixed plant assets.
  • Conduct quality routine inspections of fixed plant assets and determine repair action when required.
  • Ensures work management activities are undertaken in line with work order / job instructions.
  • Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly, and completed to the relevant standard / specification.
  • Pre-Task Hazard Assessment - Understanding, use and implementation of all pre task hazard tools on a daily basis.
  • Attending punch list walk downs, ensuring adherence to design, identifying defects and tracking punch list items for completion.
  • Providing support for major shutdown planning and execution including development and review of permit plans.
  • Providing project support with commissioning and ramp up of fixed plant assets.
  • Develop and apply isolation permits for fixed plant equipment to facilitate installation, maintenance, commissioning, and fault-finding activities.
  • Provide input into and review of Operational Readiness deliverables including bill of materials, production resource tools, safe work procedures and isolations procedures.
  • Identify and manage risks in the workplace.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will:
  • Hold relevant certifications and licences (Western Australian “A” Class Electrical licence, High Voltage Switching Certificate.
  • Demonstrate a strong electrical aptitude with good fault-finding abilities.
  • Hold relevant Isolation Qualifications (SWAAP Pass Out, Permit Officer, HVISWP Qualification including High Voltage Isolation Officer & High Voltage Permit Officer).
  • Hold relevant High-Risk Licences (Elevated Work Platform, Forklift, Confined Space, Working at Heights).
  • Demonstrate an understanding of SAP and work management processes.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and comply with the health, safety & environment policies, procedures, and initiatives (Leadership in the field, QSI & CRM).
