Daifuku Oceania is the Global Leader in material handling automation. We have an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician who enjoys working independently to be responsible for conducting preventative and ongoing maintenance on our clients' materials handling equipment and systems.
About the Role
Our current opportunity is based in Truganina, you will be working autonomously alongside a committed client team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- To oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of the System.
- Install and perform diagnostic tests.
- Develop, implement and escalate maintenance plans as appropriate to prevent equipment breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting electrical malfunctions, faults, freight jams and breakdowns.
- Perform the necessary repairs to restore to full functionality.
- Diagnose fault and rectify communication issues associated with computer systems.
- Schedule assigned maintenance tasks using our onsite Computerised Maintenance Management System (MEX).
- Complete administration and record keeping in support of Materials Handling System activities.
- Attending breakdown maintenance.
About you:
Your qualifications and experience will include -
- Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician working in automated Distribution Centers or Warehousing environments.
- A grade Victoria electrical license is essential.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems advantage.
- Sound technical understanding of automated control systems in a Materials Handling Systems (MHS) or high-speed processing environment.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts in plain language as well as and to build and maintain relationships with internal and external parties.
- Experience with PLC fault-finding, SCADA systems and Asibus.
- Monday to Friday (40 hours) work week
- A safety-first approach.
- A current and clear driver's licence.
