The Role
We are currently looking for experienced Electrical Manager to join our construction teams. The Electrical Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Electrical Engineering and Construction teams, whilst ensuring time frames are meet and in a safe manner.
As part of this role, you will be site based with a project team and may be required to travel to other FCS sites throughout NSW and QLD.
As part of the pre-employment process, you will need to complete & pass a Coal Board Order 43 Medical.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
Duties including but not limited to:
- Supervise and manage the installation, maintenance, and inspection of electrical systems to project scope.
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Review contract and specification to develop methodology and staffing requirements to meet or exceed contracted requirements.
- Ensure equipment and materials are delivered at specified times to conform to work schedule and contract requirements.
- Liaise with direct personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases to prevent delays.
- Coordinate and manage sub-contractors from tender to works completion.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to contract specifications and the construction schedule is adhered too.
- Providing support to the project manager and superintendents as required.
- Creating and reviewing of reports.
- Knowledge of industry best practice and Australian Standards.
- Quality system ISO 9001 compliance.
Essential – Skills, Qualifications, Attributes and Experience:
- Proven electrical project supervision in similar industry.
- White card.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or electrical trade.
- Strong leadership qualities to inspire and lead your team effectively.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills to thrive in our dynamic work environment.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar position within Mining & Industrial Infrastructure.
- Must be able to read electrical drawings and specifications.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical construction for mining, materials handling, substations and process plants
- Ability to manage schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and complete tasks in parallel.
- Highly organised and a strong communicator.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Ability to analyse information.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
- Ability to understand and follow verbally or written instructions.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent communication with clients, contractors and fellow. Employees.
- Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills.
- Proven high quality experience producing correspondence and documents.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with other employees, managers and Client Stakeholders.
- Ability to evaluate and implement appropriate work methods.

- Ability to observe proper safety precautions.

- Current Drivers Licence.
- OHS White Card.
- Previous experience on a mine site is desirable.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in project management or contracts management.
- Demonstratable project management experience
