Your new role Reporting to the Business Manager - Building & Infrastructure, you will be a passionate individual with extensive industry knowledge in the Electrical trade seeking to join the teaching team. You will be committed to quality teaching, delivering real outcomes for students, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry practices. You will be responsible for (but are not limited to):
Designing and implementing teaching tools that meet industry standards
Partaking in practical demonstrations
Undergoing continuous improvement activities (including self-learning)
Ensuring students adopt accepted safety procedures (safety first!)
Planning and developing class programs
General administration duties
Working with other faculty members in a collaborative setting
Showing teaching initiative and taking responsibility
Teaching individuals and classes of students from a variety of ages and backgrounds
Whilst this role will have support from peers and management, it requires significant autonomy to enable you to plan, work and allocate your working week. This role offers flexibility across scheduled teaching time and Non-Attendance Time (NAT) allocated to course design, tutoring hours, etc. You will ensure all your actions contribute to the ongoing mission of delivering real outcomes for students and paving the way for their career in the Electrical world. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have deep understanding and unquestionable experience within the electrical trade industry. Current and relevant Electrical trade qualification
Current QLD Electrical Workers License
Passion for educating and teaching
Recent industry experience
Training and Assessor qualification advantageous but not necessary
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Perfect communication skills (written and verbal)
Full Australian working rights
