Ausbright Electrical Solutions Pty Ltd (Ausbright) is an electrical contracting company delivering electrical services to the Department of Defence and other Contractors for maritime sustainment related activities.
We have full time positions available for experienced Electrical/CommunicationsTrade Assistantswho meet the requirements below for immediate start in Perth.
Successful candidates will be required to attend client sites to carry out their work.
The role of an Electrical Trade Assistantrequires someone who has the following characteristics:
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to communicate with team members and customers;
- Strong ability to learn and receive instructions while being trained on-the-job;
- Being able to work in a team environment;
- Have a positive outlook on life with an excellent attitude; and
- Being technically minded and being able to work with power tools such as drills etc.
This position is required to perform the duties of an Electrical/CommunicationsTrade Assistant, which includes but is not limited to the manufacturing of cabling looms, Military Specification (MILSPEC) plugging and installation of equipment onboard ships and general Trade Assistant duties as required by your supervisor. This individual is required to represent Ausbright at client sites and must demonstrate and maintain high work, safety, security, and electrical standards at all times, in line with Ausbright’s Corporate Values.
Your duties will include and you will be expected to have:
- Adhering to WHS procedures and ‘driving’ the safety culture within Ausbright following safe working practices at all times. Communicate any safety concerns to other team members and supervisors immediately.
- Follow Policies, Procedures and legislation as applicable.
- Communicate effectively with other team members and ensure quality workmanship is produced.
- Maintain required site and safety inductions.
- Construction Industry White Card
- First Aid and CPR
- Low Voltage Rescue
- Current Drivers Licence
- Either hold or be able to obtain and hold a Department of Defence Security Clearance (minimum BASELINE).
- A minimum of two years’ experience in the marine industry (desirable)

- Salary range, inclusive of guaranteed allowances (excluding super) dependent on skills/experience/engagement between $30 to $40 per hour
