The Company
Macfarlane Generators has been in business since 1949. We specialise in the supply, installation, hire and service of new and used generator sets for industrial, commercial, domestic and recreational applications. Our Brendale branch is looking for an experienced Electrician/Electrical Fitter, specialising in the servicing, repairs and installation of generators, generator controls and Automatic Transfer Switches.
The Role
This role is broad ranging in the equipment to be worked on. Generators can be as small as 1kVA and as much as 2000kVA as well as switchboard/ATS works as part of installations. An electrical qualification and license is a requirement. Generator experience including installing and modifying generator control systems would be an advantage but not a requirement as there is training available.
Key Duties
· General installation and servicing of generators in the workshop and in the field as required
· Fault diagnosis and repair
· Work on control systems and ATS including installs
· Keeping company documentation accurate
· Working with other electrical or mechanical staff as required
Requirements
· Trade electrical qualifications and Licence (Contractors licence)
· Willingness to learn the product
· Cleanliness in all aspects of work
· Time management and organisational skills
· Good written and verbal English skills
· Own suitable tools
· Basic computer skills
The Offer
Training specific for generators is available within the company. Remuneration is suitable for experience and the role. Working from 7.30am to 4pm, 5 day week (plus flex time) or as the job dictates to suit customer requirements.
