Get home each night – 9 Day FortnightAbout the role:We have an opportunity based in Katanning for an experienced Electrical Tradesperson for a permanent position.The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of electrical and instrumentation services including installation, testing, maintenance, fault finding, repair and commissioning of all Water Corporation’s assets throughout the Region.We are seeking an individual who takes ownership of their work area and is able to work effectively independently but also contributes to a positive team environment and safety culture.What the role will involve:· Performs scheduled and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance in water/wastewater systems and installs electrical and instrumentation components· Performs complex isolation and shutdowns· Complex problem solving of water systems, wastewater systems and chemical dosing systems· Participation in an active stand by roster.Key skills and experience:· Electrical Trade Certificate· Instrumentation Certificate· Relevant High Risk Licences· Current Drivers Licence· Demonstrated experience in PLC, SCADA and telemetry systems.· Considerable trade experience in water supply and wastewater services.· Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health requirements including hazard identificationReal benefits that matter:· Work your full-time hours over 9 days and enjoy an RDO every fortnight!· Work for a company that advocates for mental health and wellbeing with two well-being days each year to do whatever you need to do to feel good, no questions asked, we understand the importance of switching off and recharging every now and then.· Annual leave loading of 17.5%.· After 3 years of continuous service, you may access your Long Service leave pro-rata.· In addition to the base requirement, Water Corporation will make an additional 2% super contribution when you elect to salary sacrifice 2% of your salary to super.· Purchase additional leave of up to 4 weeks.Apply: If you are interested in the above opportunity, please submit a covering letter and resume that best demonstrates your ability to meet the requirements of the role.Applications close: 1st May 2024We reserve the right to withdraw this ad prior to the closing date.As part of the recruitment process you may be required to complete pre-employment screening which may include a medical, qualification check, police clearance and Australian working rights check.Our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace:Diversity and inclusion are more than words.
