Electrician

We are currently seeking a trade qualified licenced electrician for our client in the food production industry, based in the southern suburbs.

Our client is a major dairy manufacturing company with a global presence which has been operating for over 80 years. Their mission is to have Australian consumers recognize the quality and value of their products, while delivering nutrition and wellness throughout the Asia pacific region.

To be successful, you must be:

• Trade qualified licenced Electrician
• Experienced in the FMCG industry
• Able to work in afternoon shifts and roster pattern.
• Able to work autonomously in a team
• Experience in PLC, SCADA systems and automation will be highly regarded

The role includes:

• Ensuring that relevant documentation relating to the areas of responsibility are maintained to preset standards.
• Partaking in Preventative Maintenance program, in order to achieve world class machine and line efficiency.
• Monitoring plant and equipment using the Scada control system and act on any alarms or irregularities that may occur. Read pneumatic schematics and fault find in a safe and efficient manner and make modifications as required.
• Investigating failures and provide recommendation of improvements to reduce the risk of occurrence.
• Working unsupervised on shift and make decisions in order to promote efficiency.
• Ensuring that all safety checks are performed as per instructions.
• Reporting any abnormal problems which may occur and could disrupt the smooth running of the operation.
• Project work as required.
• Competitive casual pay rate of $53.57/hour
