The Position
We are seeking trade qualified Electricians with a knack for electrical diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to join our team in Mount Isa. As an Electrician at FEDVS, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks including inspections, preventative maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
The candidate must have full rights to work in Australia
To be considered for this role the candidate must pass our clients medical with a low-risk rating and the Drug and Alcohol test with a zero concentration this is to be completed prior to any on boarding offers
As our work is completed on mining sites which adhere to a strict zero tolerance policy to alcohol and drugs. Employees are required to able to pass a zero alcohol and drug test on each rostered day.
Positional payrates are based on the Pay Guide - Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award [MA000025]
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical and instrument inspections
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and breakdowns
- Execute general electrical functions within the workshop
- Work on HV and LV motors, variable speed drives, PLC, and conveyor systems
- Conduct inspections, servicing, and maintenance on machinery
- Complete condition monitoring tasks as required
- Ensure workshop cleanliness and general maintenance
- Attend off-site repairs and breakdowns as required
Qualifications and Skills:
5 Years post trade domestic / industrial experience/ heavy construction project work
- Sound ability to understand both electrical schematic and termination drawings
- Above average ability to fault find electrical circuits
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZ 3000
- Current First Aid, LVR & CPR certificates
- Current Mine medical Underground / Surface
- EWP High Risk License
- Queensland Manual Drivers License
Optional Skill sets are an advantage
- Sound understanding and programming PLC’s
- Open Cablers License
- Refrigeration License
- Confined Space License
