About the role
As the Firmware Engineer you will be responsible for Embedded Firmware mostly in C, with some occasion to develop Windows PC applications (mostly for testing in C# and Visual Studio) and/or Mobile Apps. So the desire to learn C# and mobile development is a must!
The role is exceptionally varied, the Firmware Engineer will be working with Bluetooth, cellular connectivity, sensors and IoT. Ideally, they are wanting someone who has good understanding of electronics as well as some projects will involve developing Embedded Firmware on STM32 and occasionally assist with electronics development.
This role is fully on-site in Oakleigh, close to public transport and there is flexibility with start times.
Skills and Experience:
- Good experience with embedded C required
- Understand hardware/electronics and be able to read schematics.
- Preferred: some experience with C#, Visual Studio and mobile app development
- Strongly preferred: Experience with STM32 microprocessor family.
- Experience with UART drivers.
- Experience with SPI drivers.
- Preferred by not mandatory: Experience with IAR.
- Preferred by not mandatory: Experience with Git.
