About Concept Fertility Centre

Concept Fertility Centre is a fertility centre in the heart of Subiaco/Shenton Park. We are a small team dedicated to the care of patients undergoing IVF treatment and other Artificial Reproductive Technology (ART) procedures. Concept Fertility has been providing ART treatment to the WA community for 40 years. We pride ourselves on our personalised care and positive outcomes for patients. 
 

A rare opportunity has arisen to join our Science team. We are seeking an experienced Embryologist for a full-time maternity leave cover position, with opportunity for extension. The position will see the ideal candidate involved in all aspects of the embryology and andrology laboratories. Working in the Science department and closely with the medical staff and broader team, you will uphold our values of Respect, Collaboration and Excellence to fulfil the Concept Fertility clinic vision. 

Essential criteria:

• Bachelor degree in relevant sciences (BSc)
• A minimum of 2 years full-time equivalent experience as an Embryologist
• Must have experience in embryology/andrology laboratory tasks with demonstrated competency in ICSI, embryo vitrification/grading/transfer procedure, oocyte collections
• Eligibility to work in Australia
• Availability for rotating weekend, public holidays roster

Responsibilities:

• Performing all laboratory tasks in the andrology & embryology laboratories including, dish preparation, semen analysis & cryopreservation, oocyte collection, ICSI, IVF, embryo checks, embryo vitrification & warming, handling of gametes & embryos
• Ensure laboratory quality control is upheld to high standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients, staff and stakeholders
• Working cooperatively in the multidisciplinary team of staff to deliver exceptional treatment to patients
• Understanding of RTAC code of practice and relevant state guidelines in ART 
• High attention to detail in all aspects of work
• Adherence to laboratory policies and procedures
• Assisting in laboratory maintenance, data collection, and other applicable administrative tasks
• Competency with use of all Office365 programs
