About Triple Zero Victoria

Triple Zero Victoria (000VIC) is the critical link between the Victorian community and the state's emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for police, fire, ambulance and VICSES.

About the role

There really is no average day as an Emergency Communications Officer (Triple Zero Call-taker), every day is different and rewarding in equal amounts. You could be helping someone in the worst moment, and they will rely on you for your composure and ability to guide them through the call. You will be well supported from your first day with us, with fully paid comprehensive training, before you then start talking real triple zero calls with your teammates and leadership team on hand to support, guide and help whatever the circumstances.

About you

Emergency Communications Officer roles are unique and challenging and our team members come from a wide range of life stages, occupational and cultural backgrounds. You are likely to be a good fit for these positions if you:

  • Enjoy working in a busy environment where multi-tasking with high attention to detail is the norm
  • Are tech savvy enough to use multiple software systems whilst under pressure
