As part of this project, Northern Health is expanding the scope of our Nurse Practitioner model to include provision of service via our VVED model of care. The opportunity to work in and contribute to the development of the VVED service is another opportunity to extend your Nurse Practitioner scope of practice and can also offer opportunities for publication for those applicants who may be interested.You will be supported by a motivated, dynamic senior leadership team as well as be able to participate in regular study and mentorship opportunities facilitated by our Senior Medical staff.To be successful in this role you will have:Essential
- Current Registration as a Nurse and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Completed a Master of Nursing or Master of Advanced Nursing Practice (Nurse Practitioner) (or a Master granted equivalent qualification recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency plus an approved Therapeutic Medication Management module)
- Minimum of two years' experience/employment post-Nurse Practitioner endorsement
- Demonstrated confidence and independence with Adult, Aged Care and Palliative Care assessment
- Previous experience and knowledge in a diverse range of emergency conditions, palliative care and aged care
- Post Graduate qualification in relevant speciality area: Gerontology and/or Palliative Care
- Previous experience and knowledge in a diverse range of emergency conditions
