Role Overview:
Within Peninsula Health's Emergency departments lies a cornerstone of excellence in Victoria, characterized by an innovative care model, a diverse and stimulating case load, and robust Consultant supervision. With Senior Medical staff available on-site for 18 hours a day in Frankston and 10 hours a day in Rosebud, our Emergency facilities uphold the highest level of accreditation awarded by ACEM for 24 months. Additionally, our network offers opportunities for secondment rotations across various specialties, including Medicine, ICU, Anaesthetics, and Paediatrics, alongside specialized rotations in Ultrasound and Education.
Peninsula Health is committed to fostering educational initiatives, including teaching programs for ACEM's Primary and Fellowship exams and a Simulation medicine teaching program conducted in our dedicated on-site simulation lab. We also provide supervision for ACEM Emergency Medicine Certificate and Diplomas. Registrars will find ample avenues for engagement in non-clinical activities such as clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide appropriate medical care to patients under supervision, assisting senior doctors in complex cases.
* Continuously enhance personal skill levels to deliver the highest standard of service based on evidence-based practices.
* Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, including those related to occupational health and safety and legislative requirements.
* Cultivate positive workplace behaviours and relationships.
Qualifications:
* PGY3 or above.
* MBBS degree or equivalent qualification.
* Eligibility to apply for AHPRA through the Competent Authority Pathway - UK, US and Canada candidates encouraged to apply
* Prior experience in clinical management.
* Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in contemporary medical practices.
* Ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
* Minimum of 4 months of Emergency experience at PGY2 level.
