About the Role
The English and Language Studies Portfolio delivers a range of courses including English as a Second Language, Auslan, Interpreting and Language Studies. This includes the Commonwealth funded settlement program, the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP). The program delivers training to eligible clients looking to improve their English, as well as their confidence, in order to enhance their job and career prospects. It provides a culturally responsive service to all participants.
The Employability and Promotions Coordinator is an integral part of the portfolio and identifies opportunities to support Employability and entrepreneurship skills of all students and promote the AMEP program with key stakeholders and community organisations. They will also work closely with key stakeholders to coordinate work experience placements for the Settlement Language Pathways to Employment and Training (SLPET) clients and other programs in the portfolio as required.
