Job description

A bit about the role...
As an Employability Skills Trainer you are responsible for delivering training in line with the Workforce Australia Employability Skills Training (EST).

Primarily you are a dynamic Mentor/Trainer, innovative to ensure you engage all participants.  The training you will be providing is aimed to boost our job seekers work readiness through two different blocks of focused training.
  
You will:
Deliver innovative participant focused, engaging group-based training and assessment, focusing on real life practical skills and engagement

  • Resulting in increased Employability Skills, resilience and motivation for our participants to seek, find and keep a job
  • Deliver group-based training which fosters co-operation, engagement and contribution of Job Seekers
  • You are a mentor, able to support participants to apply their Employability Skills as required by the program
  • You are motivated and driven, able to work with a diverse range of people, with a proven ability to engage all participants
  • Deliver quality training and assessment within the EST guidelines
  • Be involved in the development and implementation of new training and assessment resources and delivery methods.
A bit about your experience
 

  • Experience in the delivery of group-based training for employment
  • A sound understanding of Employability Skills within the workforce
  • A good understanding of the labour market and vocational training requirements across industries
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and engagement abilities
  • Well-established Network connections
  • Ability to engage, influence and motivate program participants
  • You are adaptable and able to vary delivery based on participant needs and a variety of situations
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
  • Experience with competency-based training (desirable)
  • The ability to motivate, mentor, engage and be passionate about what you do, have a great time whilst focusing on driving customers towards success!
