ITEC Employment is a Workforce Australia Specialist Services Provider supporting Indigenous job seekers in the Cairns and Atherton Tablelands regions.
The Role:
This role is full-time 6-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover), with the possibility of extension, located in Earlville.
As an Employment Consultant with ITEC Employment your primary focus will be on addressing issues and barriers the job seekers may be facing and where necessary managing referrals to specialist providers for non-vocational challenges.
Employment industry experience is not essential however a genuine interest in helping participants is crucial. If you have a positive attitude, can prioritise your workload, have a high level of organisational skills, are an influential and effective communicator, and have solid administration skills you might have found the job you have been looking for.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver an individualised service to each participant addressing each of their barriers.
- Work with each participant in a culturally appropriate strengths-based model that supports them to achieve their goals.
- Ensure that all program guidelines are met relating to service delivery.
- Ensure that key performance measured are addressed.
- Undertake post placement support with the participants and support them to maintain those position.
Qualifications:
- Current Working With Children Check
- National police screening check (must be younger than 3 three months old) or ability to obtain one.
- Current QLD Drivers Licence.
- Rights to work in Australia (Citizen or permanent resident).
- Vaccinated against COVID-19.
