About the opportunity
You will be responsible for providing person-specific employment service supports to job seekers with disability, with the end goal of obtaining meaningful and sustainable employment. This requires building client capacity for work through rapport building, client strength-based focus, a genuine belief that there is a job for everyone and that work is good for you and coaching of client’s job seeking skills to progress to employment. Includes:
- Assessment of the barriers to employment and identifying appropriate interventions to assist, including connection with appropriate community supports
- Identification of suitable job options through vocational counselling
- Resume, cover letter, job search and job application training
- Interview coaching
- Reverse marketing and negotiation of employment opportunities on behalf of job seekers
- Ongoing support of job seekers and employer post job placement, including linking them to government and other supports to sustain employment.
The position requires the delivery of services within metropolitan Adelaide; Northern/Western suburbs and is offered as either a Part-Time- or Full-Time position.
About you
To be considered for this position you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment, sales, or customer service. And complementary tertiary or other qualification, highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience reflecting outstanding rapport-building skills across a diverse range of stakeholders including customers, employers, and peers
- Demonstrated experience in meeting business objectives through exceptional time management, planning and coordination skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing demands, establish priorities, organise tasks, meet deadlines and manage a varied workload
- PC literate - intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated experience in the disability or similar employment services sector is highly regarded.
