Echo is a not-for profit organisation, delivering a variety of employment services across Melbourne. We are currently looking for a Part Time 5 day fortnight Employment Consultant to work at our Carnbourne and Pakenham site. Salary $65,700 - $68,000 pro rata plus super.
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9am - 5pm
Week 2 - Monday and Thursday 9am - 5pm
What does an Employment Consultant do?
Employment Consultants focus on appropriate and sustainable employment for our job seekers. We manage this in a variety of ways, and we are looking for someone who isn’t shy to pick up the phone and use their networking skills, delivering high levels of customer service.
About the job
- Talking to employers in the local community networking and creating opportunity for our job seekers
- Meeting with job seekers to discuss their progress toward employment
- Assisting job seekers with identifying and moving towards vocational goals
- Coach and train job seekers to increase their employment skills
- Building local relationships and partnerships with other community providers
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about achieving the best outcome possible
- Understands that they need to ‘think outside the box’
- Can manage competing priorities and multitask in a fast pasted environment
- High level of admin skills and time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic about what they do
- Can work efficiently while managing a high level of compliance
