About your role:
This role is responsible for providing vocational support and training to employees with disability in line with their NDIS Plan. This will be a permanent full time position Mon-Fri based across Mascot and Kingsgrove depending on the day and requirements. You will be paid on the SCHADS Award level 3 and we are looking for someone to start asap!
Responsibilities:
- Provide vocational support and training, assist with inducting employees to the worksite
- Develop and deliver training, Implement and coordinate positive behaviour management plans
- Take action to prevent escalation of any potential emergency or crisis situation
- Employ strategies to motivate, support and encourage employees
- Liaise with government and non-government agencies (Centrelink, CRS Australia, Advocacy Services and other services provides such as health professionals)
- Liaise with community support persons, parents, and guardians.
- Apply specialist communication techniques and skills including using techniques, aids, interpreters, or referral to specialists as required
- Facilitate quarterly Program of Support review meetings
You will need:
- NDIS worker check and Working with Children clearance or willingness to obtain
- Must satisfy all visa requirements for working in Australia.
- Driver’s licence P2 or higher
- Valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011)
