  • SA Health - NALHN / SALHN (Multiple Positions)
  • Total Indicative Remuneration: $105,155 - $170,687 p.a. - MDP2 
  • Full-Time Temporary up until 7 February 2026

As an Advanced Trainee, you will provide high quality services in the field of Endocrine & Metabolic Medicine under the supervision of the Senior Endocrine and Metabolic staff. Accepting clinical responsibility under gradually diminishing supervision, you will undertake with care and skill the management of patients and liaise with patients' General Practitioners where indicated. Maintaining good communication and liaison with other members of the team, you will perfect your communication and counselling skills, as well as a range of procedural skills for independent specialist practice. Maintaining a high standard of patient care on inpatients and outpatients, you will keep high quality, readily accessible records. A key part of your role will be contributing to medical teaching/training programs at undergraduate and postgraduate level and providing timely feedback to junior medical staff.  

Demonstrating successful completion of the Royal Australasian Fellowship (FRACP) exam, both written and clinical, you will be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Medical Practitioner. You will have a high level of clinical competence and professional integrity, as well as excellent communication skills. Adaptable to change and willing to accept constructive feedback on performance or behaviour, you will be committed to quality improvement and safe practice. 

To be eligible for this position you are required to hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration. Must be eligible for registration as an advanced trainee in Endocrinology.

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12 month allocation will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
