As an Energy Market Analyst within Perth Energy, you will be responsible for supporting a market competitive gas portfolio through the development and implementation of effective strategies, procedures, client/supplier relationships and the negotiation of commercial terms to maximise portfolio growth, while providing direction to the trading team to deliver on business objectives through sound, commercial and informed business and trading decisions.
What you’ll be doing:
Conducting comprehensive analysis on the WA gas market trends, as well as developing quantitative models for forecasting and delivering timely reports to aid in commercial decision-making.
Providing guidance and support to the trading team by monitoring trading activities and ensuring analysts are equipped for informed and compliant trading as well as managing contractual obligations.
Supporting the development and implementation of market-related strategies and initiatives.
Identifying potential opportunities, providing assists in tailored services and products to end users.
Effectively managing supplier relationships to align with business policy and strategy and ensuring contractual terms are met.
What you’ll bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Commerce, Finance, Energy or a related field coupled with experience in Energy Market analysis, but not mandatory.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in spreadsheet modelling and data analysis tools.
Strong critical thinking, planning and organisational abilities.
High integrity, dependability and results-driven mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
