About the role
As Engineer Windows, HCI and Data Protection, you will provide the RACQ Group with a healthy, highly available, and stable technology platform with a focus on the infrastructure lifecycle including the delivery of new capability, health management, decommission/transition, continuous improvement, and on-going technical services support throughout the lifecycle. You will address technology incidents and service requests in a rapid, efficient, and effective manner with a focus on continuous improvement and adding customer value. You will be responsible for -
Identifying areas for efficiency gains and working with the Technical Lead to implement improvements.
Managing the lifecycle of the environment (hardware, software, licensing).
Planning, managing, and executing activities to ensure the technology systems maintain high levels of availability, stability and currency as well as executing against the technology roadmap.
Project scoping; project design; project implementation and the provisioning of new services and infrastructure and environments in line with project timelines.
Ensuring new solutions, are designed in line with best practice industry standards such that our customers are delivered the desired outcomes, and the platform is easily supported from an on-going operations perspective.
About you
We will trust you to have –
Diploma or degree in information technology or other qualifications or demonstrated relevant industry experience.
Relevant qualification/experience with Windows and HCI administration and a strong experience with technology infrastructure (Network, Database, Contact Centre, Voice, Unix/Linux, Security)
Demonstrated ability in analysis, design, and development of enterprise grade technology infrastructure.
Proven ability to design and implement solutions to solve problems.
Excellent cloud-based infrastructure knowledge (AWS, Azure).
Strong skills in automation (Puppet, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Microsoft Azure Automation).
Expert in programming, scripting & Source Code Management skills (Ruby, Python, Bash, PowerShell, javascript etc).
Prior experience with Service Management Platforms (ServiceNow, Jira).
Strong understanding of ITIL.
