About the role
As part of our transition, we are looking for an Engineer Manager who will be responsible for managing assigned projects and activities within Australia or New Zealand to support the operations and maintenance of Energy Solutions (ES) assets and infrastructure.
The role will also develop processes, systems, standards and documentation to support the asset operations team.
Key responsibilities
Lead project design and commissioning of ES assets from an engineering perspective.
Provide subject matter expertise to the ES team on maintenance requirements and electrical design.
Work with the Engineering Operations Lead to develop strategies for managing and maintaining electrical infrastructure that ensures safety, reliability and meets business needs.
Provide technical and field support to the ES team.
Contribute to the development and execution of capital investment projects that will support productivity and costs initiatives
Ensure projects follow correct processes and comply with regulatory, industry design and construction standards while also ensuring compliance and adherence to engineering best-practice
Identify areas that require ongoing preventative maintenance and develop a plan that ensures critical equipment remains fit for service.
Work with key stakeholders both internal and external to achieve the optimal project engineering outcomes.
Develop processes, systems, and standards for electrical assets.
Support the ES team with troubleshooting and maintenance support
About you
We are looking for a candidate with comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation standards for electrical engineering, safety, risk management and risk management systems with demonstrable project management and technical documentation skills with a strategic orientation identifying opportunities for change.

Key skills and experience
Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
5+ years experience in electrical engineering design and engineering project management
Experience in developing maintenance plans and activities for assets
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and standards for electrical engineering and safety
Knowledge of risk management and associated systems
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve the best outcome for the business
Experience in developing technical documentation including standards
Excellent communication skills and influencing skill
Leadership skills; delivery of initiatives, technical squads or people
Commercial acumen to ensure investments are productive and fit for purpose
Demonstrated ability to build trust and communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders
