The Opportunity
This Engineering Pre-Apprenticeship Program is designed for individuals who are out of work and seeking employment and offers a pathway into the Manufacturing Industry, specifically geared towards those aiming to begin an apprenticeship.
Program Includes:
- No program costs
- PPE will be provided
- A pathway to a future career
- Completion of 6 units of competency from the Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (over 3 weeks):
- Use hand tools
- Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices
- Undertake manual handling
- Organise and communicate information
- Use power tools/hand held operations
- Work safely and effectively in manufacturing and engineering
- Industry Immersion days/work experience (post completion of above units)
- On completion of program, participants are interviewed by MIGAS Recruitment and Employment Team for possible employment opportunities.

- 7 to 28 May 2024 + Industry Site Tours/Work Experience
Who Should Apply?
Individuals who are not currently employed seeking an entry point into an apprenticeship, who are eager to learn, develop new skills, and possess a motivated, positive attitude, including those who have been unsuccessful in previous apprenticeship applications.
This program is not available for school students.
