PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Engineering projects Consulting opportunities – FMCG Manufacturing. We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for key project roles within our Manufacturing and Supply Chain Practice:
Engineering Manager
Project Engineers
Process Optimization Experts
Manufacturing Excellence Lead
RGP is working with a respected FMCG manufacturing group and will be designing and leading a program of site and process improvement initiatives during 2024 and 2025. We are seeking experienced consultants and project engineers for potential project consulting roles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
- design and manage manufacturing and engineering processes and identify area where improvement is needed.
- manage implementations, system upgrades and changes or modifications to enterprise class Manufacturing and Supply Chain Systems.
- all stages of a project lifecycle, including scope, schedule, risks, issues and budget, using established methodology such as SDLC, Agile or Waterfall.
- and/or participate in the translation of business needs into functional and technical requirements to implement solutions, coordinate and lead activities related to project work plans.
- discussions between Manufacturing and Supply Chain Subject Matter Experts as it relates to system-wide functionality to review business needs, requirements, alternative solutions and process improvements.
- and/or perform analysis in advance of all upgrades and work with each subject matter expert to determine the impact on existing processes.
- change management and readiness for Manufacturing and Supply Chain Initiatives.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
- including specific qualifications in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, production, process engineers),
- in FMCG manufacturing environments especially food processing and packaging,
- planning and delivery experience including process optimization, site design and development, factory automation, production line installation,
- Degree expected,
- years of Project Management experience,
- years of experience with Manufacturing and Supply Chain Excellence,
- project management experience of multiple full life-cycle Manufacturing and Supply Chain System implementations,
- knowledge of Project Management methodologies, tools, and processes,
- in manufacturing best practice, Lean Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies are highly regarded,
- have excellent communication and planning skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and interface with all organizational levels.
