Jolong Australia (SA) Pty Ltd, part of Jolong Group, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Engineering Technologist to join the team in South Australian branch.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluating clients’ engineering proposals, construction plans and performance requirements for sound engineering practice and conformance with established safety and design criteria.
- Performing technical interactions with suppliers and customers and responsible for review and approval of engineering drawings.
- Providing technical support and addressing technical problems with proactive solutions for individual clients and builders.
- Support the sales team to ensure satisfactory order conversion rate with technology service.
- Conducting all duties in accordance with procedures as specified by the quality system to ensure that designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
- Collecting information from the local market and exchanging industrial innovation ideas with other members from AWA(Australian Windows and Doors Association).
- Training local employees for window and door expertise, and training local after-sales team in installation, repair, and maintenance skills.
- Insight into industry trends and research and development of new products.
- Providing guidance on production process for local processing plants.
Qualification and Skills:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering Technology or a related field..
- Minimum 5 years practical work experience in windows and doors industry.
- Proficient in engineering principles and technical skills.
- Relevant experience in large-scale projects and some project management experience preferred.
- Solid experience using 2D CAD software, 3D CAD software (preferably Solidworks), and Sketch Up software.
- Review of plans and ability to provide comments.
- Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Must be well organized and show effective time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
